Water soluble powder for fish
Properties and action:
It is a
tetracycline class antibiotic characterised by wide spectrum of
action. It inhibits development of most gram positive and gram
negative pathogens. It acts against Aeromonas, Pseudomonas,
Yersinia, Edwardsiella, Flexibacter i Vibrio, pathogenic for sweet
water fishes. It is easily absorbed from digestive tract, permeates
to tissues and cerebrospinal liquid. Approx. 20-30% of the
antibiotic is bound with plasma proteins, and approx. 80% is
excreted with urine.
Treatment of erytrodermatitis,
salmonidae ulceration, fish spotted fever, fin rot, yersinosis,
Edwardsiella, flexibacteriosis, fish vibriosis, and bacterial
infections disturbing the course of carp’s spring viraemia.
Administration and dosing:
preparation thoroughly with fish food (100 mg/ 1 kg of b.w., what
equals 75 mg of active substance for 1 kg of b.w.)
of feed should amount to 70% of lately applied feed dose. Administer
Ichtioxan at the water temperature exceeding 12 degrees centigrade,
3-4 times, at 2 day intervals.
Edible tissues – 30 days,
at the water temperature of 16 degrees centigrade.
